FREE EVENT signs the show that lights up PalaGalassi for Gemos’ 50th anniversary
An immersive, emotional experience with a strong narrative impact: this is how FREE EVENT celebrated Gemos’ 50th anniversary on Saturday, December 6, at PalaGalassi in Forlì, transforming the arena into a fully theatrical space capable of welcoming over 3,000 people, including employees, families, institutions and members of the local community.
The evening marked the culmination of a year in which FREE EVENT stood alongside Gemos not only in the organization of the major final event, but also in the development of strategic projects, including GEN.G, the educational program dedicated to hospitality school students, and “Pranzo in famiglia” (Family Lunch), Gemos’ short film created to tell the values and identity of the cooperative.
Under the creative direction of Andrea Camporesi, CEO of FREE EVENT, the final event became a collective narrative made of images, movement, music and words. An experience designed to give shape and voice to the values that have guided the Romagna-based cooperative for half a century: people, territory, responsibility, community and care.
Hosting the evening was Gabriele Corsi, who guided the audience with rhythm, irony and natural rapport. The stage featured a series of internationally acclaimed performances, including Kataklò Athletic Dance Theatre, whose three original choreographic acts visually interpreted the pillars of the cooperative world: collaboration, generational continuity and team spirit. Immersive set designs and meticulously crafted visual content transformed the arena into a true contemporary theatre.
Among the most moving moments was the space dedicated to younger generations through the GEN.G project—also conceived and produced under the supervision of FREE EVENT—celebrated with a long round of applause for the students of the Artusi Institute in Forlimpopoli. The finale delivered a powerful collective emotion: a monologue performed by a young girl, symbolizing the future of cooperative work, set amid theatrical snowfall and accompanied by the music of saxophonist Andrea “Cucchia” Innesto, one of Italy’s most respected musicians, known for his distinctive sound and collaborations with major artists such as Vasco Rossi, Ultimo and Patty Pravo.
The evening was attended by numerous authorities, including Michele De Pascale, President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Massimo Isola, Mayor of Faenza, and Maurizio Gardini, President of Confcooperative, together with former Gemos leaders Giovanni Maioli, former Director, and Carlo Dalmonte, former President. Other prominent local institutions were also present, expressing their support and closeness to the cooperative on this important milestone.
For FREE EVENT, this production represents the culmination of a significant year-long journey: a collaboration that transformed Gemos’ 50th anniversary into a broad, engaging and memorable narrative. After also producing the event for the cooperative’s 40th anniversary, Gemos once again chose FREE EVENT for its most significant milestone, entrusting the agency with the task of shaping the emotions, vision and history of this special celebration.
